 6 - 25 - 24 Fishing Report  Bass on lake ozark at changing with the hotter water and less current. It’s been a points bite for three or four weeks but their going deeper. Sone are in brush. Their still sone on points too in the 25 to 35’ water. It gets tuff this time of year for day time fishing. I’m going to fish a night or to just to see what I can find.   Crappie have not been easy to catch for me. I’ve trolled, fished  deep brush and docks. I catch a few then have to move to another spot. There again night fishing with lights over deep water maybe my next trip.  The river has been messed up but they should stop running water soon so it will be good fishing once they stop playing with water levels. 

 I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much. I’m guiding abd building a house. This makes for a long day abd I don’t fell like being on my phone.  Fishing is good with top water and crank baits. There is a deeper crank bait bite on points.  Crappie are biting early on jigs over brush. Trolling is working on points over deep points.  River fishing is a hit and miss. With 15 to 18’ of water on river and it’s up and down most every day fishing is hard.  Lake ozark fishing guide service can get you on fish for fun time. 

 Time gets away from me. Snagging season is coming to an end soon and it’s ben a good year so far. A new world record spoonbill was made. 164 pounds.  Bass fishing has been good for numbers. Next year should produce more keepers size fish.  Crappie fishing needs help. We need a ten inch size limit in the hole state. This will let the smaller fish spawn to insure better fishing for numbers and size. 

 3 - 9 - 24  Fishing Report  With all the warm weather fishing is picking up. Rain and wind have put some color in the water and the fish are getting shallow.  Crappie are on the windy banks but you need Shad  close by. Pink was a good color in stain water  Book a trip and let’s go catch some fish.  White bass are in the middle of coves and trolling will get you some. 

 3 - 4 - 24 Fishing Report  Found sone nice crappie Saturday over deep water. We used a jerk bait to catch them but once the wind got high we couldn’t stay on them. Tried a bobber  but no luck then shooting docks 

 3 - 1 - 24 Fishing Report.  People are starting to think about fishing so I better report what I’ve been doing.  Last trip out wasn’t bad only four fish but three good ones on a jig. One small one on crank bait. I was fishing below the dam on river.  A few days before I was on lake fishing for crappie. It was a bit slow but the rogue bite was good for bigger crappie. Some people are bobber fishing with sone luck the weather was in the 70’s so there should be warmer water in the coves.  Their running water every day with five or more feet on river. Lake is coming down but slow. This may hold the fish out away from the bank.  Spoon bill fishing starts on 15 March. Hope we get sone rain to move them up the river. 

 12 - 30 - 2023 fishing Report.  Things are changing the water temperature has dropped into the high 40’s. Crappie are schooling up a little better and their  shallow around ten to twelve feet. I went out with a guy and both of us got nice limits. We tried bass fishing once we limited out on crappie. We hit four or five points and got bass on three  of them. Two points had good two and three pound fish and one had numbers of bass but no keepers. Spinnerbait, jigs, jerk baits and even a crank bait. This helps get me going I’ll have to pick my days but that’s winter fishing. 

 12 - 6 - 2023. Fishing Report Bass fishing has.been hot and cold for big fish as well as numbers of fish. For me they keep moving every day. I’ll blame it on a number of thing that are different this year. We have really clear water, lake level is low because of no rain. Temperature is high and lots of winter tournaments.  Crappie have not gotten into their winter patterns as well. We’re catching them but some days are better than others. Fishing docks, deep brush or windy points they all work but not every day. 

 11 - 29 - 2023. Fishing Report  2023 has been a year of little rain for Lake Of The Ozarks. It’s December and the lake is already low almost as low as it can get. Most of the crappie are out over deeper water but only about ten feed deep. Jerk bait will catch sone nice ones but you may have to keep moving to limit out. Docks and deep brush are slow.  Bass will move to windy points as long as the wind is blowing. Again jerk baits A rig and some jig are working for me. I’ll try crank baits tomorrow to see if that’s working.  Hope we get some rain this spring  I don’t know why but the river below the dam sucks. I’m told MDC put a net above the dam and the bait fish mainly Shad can’t get to the river. The bass, crappie and cat fishing has been pour the last two years. We do have a big supply of Asian carp on the river. 🤮🤮🤮

 11 - 21 - 2023 Fishing Report  Fishing is fair for big fish but slow on numbers. Bass are hitting jigs, rogues, A rigs. Windy points close to main lake or just inside the point. Crank baits fishing gas slowed down for me   Crappie are out from docks and bobber or rogues have. Even working but you have to find the right cove. If you find Shad it will help  Water is dropping both in temp and leaves. I think that’s why the deeper water is wee I’m catching fish.  Merry Christmas and good fishing. 

 11 - 15 - 2023 Fishing Report.  With so much going on right now I’ve not posted much.   But here is what I have. Lake is fishing hard it’s a day to day on the bite. If you find them and get them to bite you have a good day. Lake is four feet low and the weather has been great but no rain. I plan on being on the river in a few days to see what’s going there. If it’s slow I’ll head to lake to see if bass and crappie will bite. Good Fishing. 

 10 - 19 - 2023 Fishing Report  We got started around 7:30 and headed to an old dock that I have fish before. Just three cast and  two fish in the boat then a few minutes later a third one. Then things slowed down so we jumped around to get a limit the weather and water were great. I have a plan for next trip so we’ll see how that go's. 

 9 - 6 - 2023. Fishing Report  Getting out early in mornings before the heat get high is a must. Cooler nights help bring water temps down witch helps the fish go shallow. We were fishing brush in fifteen feet water this week. The bite was good early with good numbers and some keepers. Next week the highs will be in mid 70’s so thing will start to change. I’m looking forward to cooler weather.  Crappie are still around twenty feet deep in brush and docks. They should go to points if we get wind and lower water temps. I like a flat sided crank bait that runs close to ten feet deep. You may catch white bass with the crappie. 

 8 - 11 - 2023. Fishing Report  It’s been a couple weeks from my last post but it’s been  slow fishing for big fish. Dog days of summer is here for me. I’m catching numbers of bass but big fish have been hard to come by. Their not running water so that doesn’t help the big on main lake. I think a shallow bite is there but most people can’t get to them.  Crappie are biting but they are back under the docks and hard to reach for people. The good news is water temp is dropping with all the rain. It’s still an early bite from day lite till the shade is gone. 

 7 - 27 - 2023 Fishing Report It the end of July and believe it or not the lake is full of water  and in the mid 80’s . Fishing has been good for numbers with a few good bass at times  shaky heads, jigs and drop shot have worked  we have to get out early to get the bite but that sumner fishing   Crappie are in 20 to 35’ deep brush and docks  they too feed early but you can catch them if you can get to them  I’m doing four hour trip and by the end fishing slows way down so people are ready to find a cooler place to be  

 7 - 14 - 2023 fishing report We’ve be jumping from the lake Ozark to the Osage River this week. Had a small mouth trip Wednesday and we got them along with some spotted bass, drum, walleye, and black bass  The lake is producing bass as well but it’s an early bite. I have to jump around but if we find one we find two or three. 

 6 - 27 - 2023 Fishing Report  The weather is getting hot so we’ve been getting out by day light and fishing till 10:00 or 12:00.  Bass are deeper on main lake in brush.small worms, jigs and drop shot are catching numbers and a few nice bass.  Crappie are in twenty to thirty feet of water around brush and docks. Again I’m out at day light so we can get to those on docks. The higher the sun get the harder the crappie are to get to.  We need rain badly as the rivers are low and real clear. The best thing you can do is go out at first light. 

 Bass are shallow and on the feed. I’ve had a few big fish with bloody tails this week. So there must be a late spawn. There are a few deep bass too so you can pick the way you like to fish. Our best five would be around 17#’s  

 We’ve be on lake this week and river. Both places are working good. I enjoy river fishing to get away from the big boat but I enjoy the lake before they get out.  Bad fishing is good most days on lake and crappie is working good but are little harder to get to.  River fishing for bass is good for number but I’ve had to work hard to get a good bite. 

 5 - 27 - 2023 Fishing Report  The boys from Idaho are having some good old fashion fun in Missouri. Their catching bass and Crappie. Started early to beat the boat traffic on a three day weekend.
