Lake Ozark Fishing Guide Service

 I took my first fly fisher man on the lake today. He worked hard to get his lure in the right place. He whipped his fly rod 7-10 even 12 time and then lay the lure right were he wanted.  Knot knowing how to run the trolling motor right didn’t help him. However he had eight bass in the boat and lost four. It was fun to see just how they can whip a rod and make a lure go were they want. 

 Fishing Report 5 - 28 - 2022 It’s a holiday week end and the big boats are out.  I’m still getting out early to catch bass and crappie and catching some nice crappie and bass. Friday was a good trip with thirty five fish and four over thirteen inches. Bass in the ten to twenty five feet deep  we catch five little ones then a keeper  

 Fishing Report 5 - 22 - 2022 Luke, kate and Teddy Boyer fished for Crappie today and did real good. Teddy had big crappie with a 15 plus inch one Kate was second with one just under 15”. Dad had the most but as a hole  they got 33 crappie one catfish and two Bass. 

 Fishing Report 5 - 18 - 19 2022 Fishing is good for Bass and crappie.  Bass can be found shallow or deep. Had good numbers of bass in little pockets next to deeper water. Then on deeper banks in twenty plus water we had some nicer fish.  Crappie are making their way out of the shallow water to steeper banks and open water. Just pick how you want to fish. The bigger creeks have more stained water but the fish seem shallower  Jim, Denny and Ray had two good days. One day we had numbers and the second day we had better fish. The fish better fish bite best early Thursday 

Fishing Report 5 - 10 - 2022  Today was a good all around day. Started out Crappie fishing with jigs and ended up with 21 nice black crappie with a few white ones mixed in. Then we went Bass fishing.   Its a little windy and sunny day and its late in the day so I started deep on points not a bad Choice. We got 8 to 10 Bass with one four pounder and a couple 2.5 pounders the rest were just bass.  The lake is clear around the dam but the pollen is bad. The lake is almost full with the temps in the low to mid 60's. Most of the bigger creeks are muddy to stained. around the toll bridge its stained. The lake is stable as they are running out as much a is coming in I think. Over all its good fishing.

Fishing Report 5 - 5 - 2022  With all the rain last week the lake has come up 3 feet or more. Most of the creeks are muddy with trash flooring. Main lake is off colored to toll bridge that’s as far as I went Saturday. Lower end should be clear.  Bass have moved up on points. Light line and small baits worked good.  Crappie are on the bank to fifteen feet deep  swimming a jig to bobber fishing with minnows will get you some fish   They are running a lot of water so that should help fishing on the Osage River  cat fishing bass or crappie should be good if they keep the water up  

 Fishing report 4 30 2022 Started off the morning with a little rain and wind but it didn’t hurt the fishing.  Second half of the day was a little winder but we still managed to boat a nice spoonbill.  Lake is up a couple feed and warming into low 60’s. Depending were you fish is what color the water is. Back of bigger creeks is stained with main and lower part of lake is clear.   Crappie are on the bank jigs with 1/16 head is all you need. Color depends on water color.  Bass are moving up on the bank with a little wind. Carolina rig worked good for us.
